Expectations Exceeded for Attendees, Speakers and Sponsors
Vienna, VA
With over 150 government attendees, and about 200 total attendees, this was
one of the largest events serving those public sector professionals responsible
for government customer service and contact centers. “We are thrilled with
the turnout from this conference”, said Mike Smoyer, President, Digital
Government Institute. “Feedback from sponsors, attendees and speakers was
very positive. DGI is proud to provide a valuable education and networking
opportunity to this community.”
Event highlights include an opening keynote presented by Martha Dorris,
Deputy Associate Administrator, Office of Citizen Services, GSA who reviewed the
“Government-Wide Assessment of Citizen Service Activities” Report, a closing
plenary session from Daryl Covey with NOAA and the Cgov Community of Practice
who discussed and provided as a take-away a white paper on “Winning Practices in
Government Customer Support”, plus other government and industry
luminaries.
“All of the sessions were worthwhile”, said one attendee. “Presentations were
very interesting and informative.” “Hearing about new
practices, such as recording calls digitally and analyzing unstructured as well
as structured data to discover trends and agent training needs was especially
helpful to me,” said another attendee.
“There was a fantastic turnout of government attendees,” said one of the
event’s sponsors. “It was a great success. Congratulations to DGI for executing
a wonderful and worthwhile event.” “This was one of the best events
I’ve participated in a long time,” said another sponsor.
Digital Government Institute will produce a 2008 Government Customer Service
Conference & Expo December 10 at the Ronald Reagan Building.
